Thanksgiving community meals served
UNDATED (WSAU) More than 12-hundred people enjoyed free Thanksgiving meals around Central Wisconsin thanks to charity groups and business donations.
The largest free meal in Wausau is the community Thanksgiving from First Presbyterian Church. They delivered more than 300 meals to shut-ins, and had another 75-people eat at the church. The numbers were down slightly from last year -- which came as a surprise to organizers given the economy.
The Eagles Club served 200 people. Tri-City Restaurant offered a free Thanksgiving meal, and about 250 people took them up on the offer.
