Can't Figure It Out Posted 7 hours, 16 minutes ago by Stacy Cole

                   sneeze

Most days, you just push on and get through your crud.  I've really hit my threshold.  I've been "sick" since Christmas.  Sneezing, stuffed up, chest pain, headache, and wanting to fall back into bed the minute I wake up...It's getting hard to function and I'm getting grumpy.  I want it to stop.

So, if I frustrated any of you with my accidental duplicate keyword on Friday, I am sorry.  I just wanted to go home and go back to bed and rest. Had a fever most of the weekend and barely left my bed. So, if I have another lapse, please forgive me.  I'll do what I can to keep my brain on task.  Your keyword is "sneeze"

Think About It! Posted 3 days, 7 hours ago by Stacy Cole

Today's wake up call wasn't answered...so, you get to think about it over the weekend!

                       chimp

The question is:

Back in the 1800's, this was originally a torture device...a lot of people use it daily now!

What is it??? We try again-on air-Monday at 6:10AM

Have a great weekend and enjoy the early spring weather!

The answer was TREADMILLS!!!

                    cartman

Dave let me take this sweet package home for a few days...Cartman is a horrible kid-- a deplorable person.  I love him.  He says anything he wants to, he shows very little fear...in a lot of ways, I wish I had his boldness.  I would never say the rotten things he does--never.  But, I appreciate his rudeness and disgusting behavior for what it REALLY is...foul-mouthed and for adults only-brilliant writing and they stay true to character...I need a little break from reality so tonight, between American Idol and dinner, I'll be watching this DVD set.  Your keyword is "headlights"

By the way...I don't condone anything out of his mouth.  He's horrible.  He's Archie Bunker in cartoon form...yet, I find myself looking forward to the season premier next week...odd.

Another Hollywood Death-a young one Posted 5 days, 5 hours ago by Stacy Cole

                          corey

Corey Haim collapsed in the bedroom of his mother's apartment and four prescription bottles were found nearby ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We've learned Corey had been sick the last couple of days with flu-like symptoms. The medications recovered, however, were not related to his illness, sources tell TMZ.

We're told no illicit drugs were found in the apartment.

Sources say Haim got out of bed just before 1 AM and collapsed in front of his mother. She called 911 at 12:53 AM and Corey was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:15 AM.

Corey's mom told authorities he had been battling prescription drug addiction for years.

Authorities believe -- though are not certain -- Corey died of an accidental drug overdose.

Yes, Our Parents Were Cool (still are, I bet!) Posted 5 days, 8 hours ago by Stacy Cole

                     momish

http://myparentswereawesome.tumblr.com/

We've all looked through our parents yearbooks or scrapbooks and thought to ourselves, "Who the hell is that???"

Forget the ridiculous clothes-we alllllll have those pictures.  It's the activity in the picture that makes you do a double-take.

Mom is diving into a pool with a perfect, splashless dive...or grandma is looking sexy in her bathing suit by the pool (did I just say that?)

How about the parties that look so formal and your parents look like they popped out of a GQ Magazine shoot?  Mom on a ski hill sporting some great pose?

We all have the proof that our parents were cool. Now, there's a place to put that proof.  Seems like a long wait to actually get the pictures on the website but in the days of blogging sites, how about making your own website and present it to them the next time you see them?

If nothing else, give the albums another look and realize that those people were and still are cool.   ;)

An amazing service that you pay and THEY dump.  This call was incredible.  It's about six minutes and is hard to hear at first but you'll understand why a minute or so into it.  Some of the others on their website are a bit obscene but they get the job done.  What do you think?

US MAIL Posted 1 week, 3 days ago by Stacy Cole

This came as a forwarded email to me...Must be an angel in the dead letter office.  A sad and yet touching story.  I don't care if this email is a hoax, I liked the story.

abbey

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month.   The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter,
Meredith,  was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.
She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her.
I told her that I thought we could, so she dictated these words:

Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog?   She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much.
I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
I hope you will play with her.   She likes to play with balls and to swim.
I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog.
I really miss her.

Love, Meredith

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven.
We put our return address on it,  then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope
because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven.
That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office.
A few days later,  she asked if God had gotten the letter yet.
I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed,
'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it.
Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called,
'When a Pet Dies..'
Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope.
On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey &Meredith and this note:

Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven.
Having the picture was a big help.  I recognized Abbey right away.
Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart.
Abbey loved being your dog.. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven,
I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you,
in this little book, for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.
Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me.
What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.
By the way,  I'm easy to find,  I am wherever there is love.

Love,
God

BY THE WAY, I JUST GOT AN EMAIL BACK FROM JAMES RODAY'S REP (SHAWN SPENCER ON PSYCH) NO PROMISES BUT I HAVE A FEELING WE MAY GET TO SPEAK WITH THE SHAWNSTER.  IF WE DO, I WILL GO BONKERS. YOUR KEYWORD IS OPTIMISTICALLY, "PSYCH"

Hey, Old Fart! Posted 1 week, 5 days ago by Stacy Cole

smile

A few months ago, I had my 39th birthday.  I was scared that I was getting old.  Really scared.  A few months later, not so much.  I'm coming to grips with my age and my place in the world.  I'm learning to not care so much about those who still act like they're in high school (gossipers, back-stabbers, etc)...I'm learning to be more patient with myself.  I'm getting better at saying, "No, I can't do that for you this time."

A lot of us fight getting older.  We buy creams to smooth our skin, clothes that hide our parts better.  I think that's great if you need to do it. BUT...

Today, I sit here and type the words, "I don't really care about the little things anymore!"

I don't care.

I care about a lot of things but I'm caring less about nasty people who carry around verbal knives...I care less about those who are mean and rude to others...I care less about crap I can't control.

I DO CARE about big things.  Tolerance.  Kindness.  Love.  Generosity.

Strange how long it takes some of us to grow up but if this is what happens when you get older, I can't wait to see what the next few years have in store!

A Day Off Posted 1 week, 6 days ago by Stacy Cole

                      chapel

Had the day off yesterday.  I love my job but it was nice to be off for a day.  No meetings, no email, no phone calls...we went to Minneapolis for my step-father's birthday and it was our fifth anniversary.  We went back to the wedding chapel at the Mall of America...ate dinner at Tucci Benucch (where we ate after getting married).  We had a great time and it went so fast...glad to be home but I could've used one more day.
